There is absolutely nothing about the sound quality that I have an iota of reservation about." "The outstanding characteristics are: amazing dynamic capability loads of detail and nuance zero listening fatigue at any sane listening level steadfastly neutral sound and distortion so low that more typical loudspeakers sound poorly designed in comparison. The ATC SCM11 is a clear winner and readily achieves a HIFICRITIC Best Buy accolade." Not only does the ATC SCM11 reach beyond its class for sound quality but it does so through exceptional engineering, and shows seriously good taste in balancing the frequency response. "If you think that this reads like a positive review, then you would be right. For the money, they seem to do everything right – and they look good too." "It’s hard not to be totally and utterly enamored with the ATC SCM11s. These are the most talented stand-mounters anywhere near this price." The speaker also includes ATC's unique "Super Linear" technology, which ensures that the audio signal remains accurate and distortion-free, even at high volume levels. The SCM11 features a 6-inch mid/bass driver and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter that work together to deliver a balanced and natural sound. With a compact and elegant design, these speakers are perfect for use in small to medium-sized rooms, providing clear and detailed audio that is sure to impress. The ATC SCM11 is a high-quality 2-way bookshelf/stand-mount speaker designed for audio enthusiasts who demand exceptional sound performance. Sorry not want you want to hear as such but at the same time I would not just go on what others have said, if they have compared.ATC SCM11 V2 2-Way Monitor Speakers in satin white finishġ1 Liter volume, passive model, version 2 If I was buying again I’d properly lean to the 19s but would be very keen to demo both before committing either way. When I bought my 20s in 1997 the Entry series was many years away. ![]() To put your mind at rest the best thing is to hear both side by side but I appreciate that might be difficult. I am sure both are going to have a very similar overall sound signature. Not saying differences don’t exist just wonder what they are and if I would perceive one as better over the other. Honestly, if under a fair blind level matched test I wonder just what I would hear in terms of differences between the 19 and 20. I moved on the 11s as I had the 20s and wanted to have a Classic surround system. The cabinets are different and also bear in mind that the Classic range are made to order (by default more expensive) rather than the Entry series which are made on a larger scale with limited cabinet finishes, thus it is possible to lower the price points for each Entry model.Īs said in another way - the 19s in my humble view will not sound 50% worse than the Classic 20s.
